St. John School is seeking a student support coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year. Responsibilities include:Counsel students with social or emotional concerns and collaborate with teachers and parents to create short term goals.Engage families and caregivers in understanding and supporting the education of their children and the ways in which academic outcomes are enhanced by serving the needs of the child.Providing counseling sessions, treatment plans, or workshops as necessary and establishing prevention programs and intervention plans.Lead meetings to identify students of concern and determine the best course of action to assess and meet those needs through collaborating with classroom teachers and school staff Assist teachers and administrators with student behavioral concerns.Connect students to a range of prevention, early intervention and intensive services programs that address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of each studentMaintain case files and reports to track students’ progress and areas for improvement.Qualifications include:A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work or school counseling.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Compassion and empathy for students.Professionalism and discretion.
